Realisation number one was that it all started out as fun
But you soon got your hooks into me
I was surprised to learn, my fingers getting burned
It ain’t just us women who get clingy

But as the scales tipped and I soon got the hint
Expectations they were high
If the ideal in your mind ain’t quite what you find
You gotta do your best to try and change them, try
Try and make them what you want
